ATR (The Romanian Translators’ Association) was founded in 2004. Its mission is to promote and represent, at national and international level, Romanian translators, interpreters and terminologists; to protect their rights and interests; to promote high-quality standards in translation in the Romanian professional milieu. ATR is a full member of FIT and EULITA.

TIS.ro is the commercial brand of New Compass Services SRL, a Romanian single language vendor established in 2003. The company provides translations and interpreting to a pool of valued customers from Romania and abroad, to end-clients and other translation and localization companies. The workflow, QA and HR policies are self-assessed as compliant with EN 15038 requirements. Key specialisation areas include life sciences, engineering (mechanical, civil, power, water treatment, automation), IT (software localization included), security, business/financial, management and marketing. The flexibility offered by a small vendor matches the reliability and professionalism expected of a considerably larger company.
